| Kat informs that there are ILLUSTRATIONS to go with the 700 hobo names. You may also be enthralled that there are in fact 800 700 hobo names. |

| I went to Canada last weekend. So, did I enjoy it? WELL... did I...
- Sneak bratwurst across the border? Yessir!
- Reminisce at Redeemer? Yep.
- Make a "random" visit to a fantastic friend? Oh-ho yeah!
- Experience Brian cooking breakfast while serenading... the breakfast? You betcha!
- Listen to all 700 hobo names? Um, give or take...
- Hear the gospel preached? Yes and amen!
- Spend the Lord's Day* with most of my favorite people? Absolutely!
- Honor the Lord's Day like I should've, like I want to? Well...
- Have to come back? Grrr...
I guess in a couple ways it wasn't perfect, just positively wonderful, relaxing, and full of good food and good people. I'll just have to try better next time, friends.
* I'm ashamed that I don't have a good article on the Lord's Day to link to. You can read Isaiah 58:13-14 and be persuaded of your own guilt, inability to serve God rightly, and need of Christ's accomplishments for your salvation.

| That girl from northern Michigan I met at Redeemer that cooked bear that her sister had hunted for my dorm? She really exists, and she has a blog.
Also, now that I have links I feel like my life is coming back together. Until now it felt like this was the Michigan, anti-intellectual, URC fragment of Steve's life--no longer! I have Canadian friends, intellectual sites, and OPC links! |

| I stumbled across this man while updating MissionsURC.org. I may disagree with his favor of organs in worship, but I love him as a brother already. Look at the comments to his post on the organ (you'll have to click 'links to this post') and rejoice in his unwavering application of Christ's Lordship. Savor his love for Calvinism however much it makes you feel like a nominal Calvinist at best. Endure with him as he attends a URC worship service full of doctrine and tradition. Does he not make some good points? A whole lot of good points? A staggering number?
He reminds me of Gregory in his pursuit of Calvinism, the Lordship of Christ, Reformed liturgy, and theology of beer.
People so authentic make me yearn to seek out my identity in Christ as well. Which is one of the potential topics for my meeting with pastor this weekend. |
